  1. 1. Why is ordering computer parts taking that long (4hours)?
    2. Are you still working on fixing stuff and general environment or what’s the plan for the significant number of hours in the day beyond the planned 8?

  2. 1. The time ordering computer parts may take fewer than four hours, but I allowed 4h for confirming different parts are acceptable in channel, setting up another mail courier account, dealing with salesreps on the phone, etc. I also may want to switch out my motherboard and videocard choice since they were based on what I thought was available in Costa Rica.

    2. Going with the idea that the awake day has 15 hours, I would break down the remaining 7 hours as follows: Homeostasis takes about 2.5 hours (most of which is eating, which requires a bit of extra preparation time for me since I am attempting to improve my non-existant cooking skills). Spanish varies because sometimes it is ~0hr but if I find myself in company I like to continue for as long as possible (yesterday I was socializing with new neighbors I met all evening.) So I would say on average this is 1.5 hours, with massive variance. That leaves about 3hr unaccounted for spread out unevenly throughout the week. Some of that goes to cleaning the apartment, dealing with expected unexpected issues, etc. Yes, there is still some fixing that needs to go for my apartment. It may be worth listing the fixes that need to happen and allotting time slots for them.

I have a few other time consuming items throughout this week I should have mentioned. One is dropping off the damned car. The other is a potential date on Wednesday. The last is a 1.5 hr meeting with my shrink from NYC (who I meet with once every two weeks via video chat, but I am going to discontinue this or make it once a month since I have not found the sessions nearly as useful ever since they came with a camera/mic pointed at my face.)

  3. As long as you are actually productive otherwise and at work fixing yourself & your place, it’s fine really.

It’s first time I hear of this shrink – did I miss it somewhere/sometime?

Hope you’ll have a lovely Wednesday!

Cool, and yes I am trying to use each hour to its fullest. I admit that is not the case currently but my focus has greatly improved. I am no longer losing copious hours in the week from outright avoidance behavior. I now need to work on not spinning/stalling while working.

    >It’s first time I hear of this shrink – did I miss it somewhere/sometime?

No I did not mention previously that I have a shrink to you, and I admit there was hesitation to share that information. I did mention it once in convo with hanbot.

    >Hope you’ll have a lovely Wednesday!

    Thanks!
