  1. Review

    1. What did I spend my time on?

11:00 coffee, housekeeping, read diana_coman’s feedback comments on YH
    13:00 nap
    15:45 lunch
    16:15 walk, phoned dad
18:15 reread, commented on diana_coman YH feedback
    18:35 awk
    19:10 dinner
    19:25 awk
    20:30 YouTube
    23:30 awk
    00:30 review

I woke up exhausted – a mix of circadian disruption and intense exercise from yesterday. Had misdiagnosed the former as insomnia – I now have a sane plane from Diana for rectifying it. The nap was necessary – noggin’ was full of scrambled egg before that. The three hours of timewasting on YouTube stands out – particurlary as the agenda hadn’t been completed yet. Productive work sums to 7/9 scheduled hours.

    2. Where did I ask smart questions? Where could/should I have asked *more* questions?

My mind wasn’t really in a place to formulate coherent questions; I did however listen to Diana’s feedback on yesterday’s work. That was really helpful – particularly seeing that my current struggles aren’t unique; and the link to how to think about each day as a fresh opportunity for success, rather than inheriting the backlog of past failure.

    3. Where did I deliver on my word and where did I fail to deliver? What did I do to mitigate the fail and what do I need to do + who do I need to talk to tomorrow to sort the fail(s) out?

Completed (1), (2), (4) and (5); didn’t do (3). Didn’t totally waste the day on idle internet derping; got back to work after the 3-hour diversion. Going forward, need to stay off YouTube/RSS feeds/random internet derping – at least until the daily agenda tasks are all done.I think I need to take a day off to recharge.

    4. What are the priorities for tomorrow?

Rest, relax, think – free from deadlines/schedules.

    5. How can I better use my available resources ?

Diana’s feedback has been really helpful so far, but I haven’t asked many follow-up questions – partly because there’s enough to take in from her responses that I don’t feel it’s stricly necessary, and partly because I don’t want to risk wasting her time with stupid responses. Having typed the previous sentence, I can see that it’s idiotic – I’ll endevour to ask more/better questions of her – and the other YH members when appropriate.

    6. What should I do *differently* for better results tomorrow ?

The last few days I have’t really worked OR rested wholeheartedly. So, tomorrow I’ll be totally committed to resting/relaxing/not thinkng about work; I’ll wind down before bed and come back refreshed the day after!

  2. What are you doing concretely with Awk?

A fully relaxing day from time to time is certainly a good idea too, yes. As are fully working days the rest of the time :P
