This week I need to focus 4 days on saltmines work during prime hours. I have been consistently only working reduced evening hours on saltmines and so have fallen a bit behind.
I bumped the 1.5h allocated time for writing to 2.5h. I usually spend closer to 2.5 hours writing anyways, and since I will be working in the evening the process will take more time.
Note: I have meatwot friends visiting from March 4th-March 12th. During that time I will have very limited/no availability for tmsr work.

You’ve been consistently increasing leisure hours, you mean. And sure, as a consequence, possibly reducing the saltmine hours but sure, it’s only the tmsr work for which there will be soon no availability because… more leisure.

Yes I did put more leisure time, which lead to less saltmine time, which caused a debt that eventually costs me tmsr time. I will respond with more diligence, not more words.

EOD Report: G: I read the first section of Aristotle’s poetics (Part I – Part XI as per http://classics.mit.edu/Aristotle/poetics.1.1.html) with care this morning, taking notes. WTI: Continue to read actively. B: I jumped into trying to solve the memory issue with no direction. I need a plan to attack this problem – it is tricky b.c. all I know is that it was some sort of out of memory issue and that it occurs inconsistently. The problem is likely in either cl-irc or sbcl. WTI: Create a plan for solving this specific problem.

Did you enjoy Aristotle’s Poetics?
Re plan for figuring out the memory issue, Jacob had some good ideas, see the #o logs.

Yes I’ve enjoyed Aristotle’s Poetics very much so from what I’ve read so far. Along with learning some new words that my spell checker doesn’t think exists – like peripeteia – it seems like I’m learning the ancient knowledge of what makes for a good story!

EOD Report G: I have been planning a long day where I will get few things done in one Santa Cruz trip. WTI: I will try to make the journey with less frequency from now on. B: I spent at least 2 hours in the evening messaging a lady. I have wasted more time on this kind of shit before but I have been too ashamed to admit it. WTI: Be braver in admitting the embarrassing problems that hinder me, discussing other ones while worse ones exist is scraping corrosion off the free part of the battery terminals.

You know, being ashamed of *admitting* something is ~15yo of age and self-defeating at that. The problem is in what you do, not in what/if you admit to it. Do you really think the *admission* is what makes a difference somehow? HOW?
And no, what to do about it is not as much a bravery thing as a *stop doing the stupid* thing!
Those daily updates in such form don’t seem to do all that much, no. Go and get that list of questions I made for Robinson and use that too, but do aim for once to actually help yourself with the given tool rather than just do the bare minimum with it, all right?

I’ve the same pathology: spend more thought/time/energy on concealing – rather than quitting – the derpage. I’ll add those questions to my reviews from tomorrow, and try to use ’em properly – ie. to identify and then STO(M)P the stupids, rather than as another way to *seem* like I’m improving, while leaving the derp unchanged.
