1. Things my Master assigned me:
- Draft of TMSR OS dependencies page. (AAC) Deadline Thursday, Feb 20th.
- Publish WoT ratings. Deadline Monday, February 17th.
- (5h) Work through the fabled outlines article backlog. 2.3 is for sure feasible this week. 2.4 is going to be a big one. (Time Permitting)
2. Things I want feedback on/help with
- (3.5h) Convert conference presentation to outline, ask for help on how to structure into an article/series of articles.Deadline : Tuesday 00:00 UTC.
3. Anything else that takes up a significant amount of your time.
- (10h) TMSR OS
- Confirm understanding of proposed clearsigning scheme for V patches by asking questions in #t
- At least one comment per day published upon reading/re-reading archives of The Tar Pit, BVT Trace, Krankendenken and Fixpoint.
- Dorion Mode
- (5h) There is nothing new in the world apart from the history you didn’t know. Not sure if I’ll get this done this week, but chip away at it.
- (5h) The benefits of TMSR OS. Chip away likewise.
- (15h) JWRD : 5h of management. 10h of relationship development. Lots to follow up with from last week, Carnival shuts down the city for 5-6 days starting Thursday.
- (15h) Following the forum and conversing when it’s my time. I’m planning to block off 14:00-15:30 and 19:00-20:30 UTC to properly eat and engage the logs and blogs.
- (7h) ((30 mins in morning, 30 mins before sleep)) Daily Review/Preview to start up, wind down day.
- (2h) Weekly review/preview. Deadline Friday February 21, 23:00 UTC
- (5h 15m) 45 minutes of exercise each morning.
- (5h 50m) 20 min Spanish, 30 min French each morning.
Summary
Two major things to improve on : a) time tracking to give myself a clearer picture for reflection and b) my consistency with the end of day review, crunch time is when effective communication is needed the most, deliver on time.
The 1.3 is lowest priority at this point and I rather doubt it will make its way in this week because it’s already the 17th of Feb and you have that other plan to see to as well. There’s still time and it can all get moving well – as soon as you start talking again really.

Monday report :
reread the V clearsigning scheme threads , exposed a bad habit of jumping ahead with assumptions as an overcompensation for keeping myself silent.
got back to talking, keep it going with asking smart questions more often.
set up a couple JWRD sales calls for Tuesday.
didn’t get ratings published, not sure why I’m letting that drag, but will publish tonight.

Tuesday/Wednesday report :
Last couple days have been JWRD heavy.
Tuesday I had a follow up meeting with a contact from the conference. He’s a former private banker here that recently broke out on his own. He’s aiming to get a group together to go through the program with him to lower his costs.
Wednesday I had a long follow up meeting with a prospect I met last month. I took notes and asked questions as he explained his decentralized exchange framework. As these things go, it’s a bit over-complicated and not so decentralized. I stuck with asking smart questions, but I didn’t press him too hard. I then explained our training/consulting in detail, which he said he’s interested in to help them with key management. We also discussed regular cash deals. So that’s good news on the relationship and cash flow front.
Wednesday evening I went to a networking event and met a lady that owns a website focused on offshore services and asset protection. They have a mailing list of 22k people and it sounds like she has decent contacts in Panama.
For Thursday, get caught up on my backlog.

It looks good on the JWRD front indeed and glad to hear that. The link on that “prospect” is missing.
It still looks like it’s either JWRD-day or TMSR-day or something and as a result there’s apparently ~always going to be a sort of alternating backlog and various catch ups.

Were those few daily updates useful or not useful? Did they get silently dropped or are they still supposedly on the list or what?
Comment by Diana Coman — February 26, 2020 @ 7:49 am
Despite them being useful, I did let them silently drop. I will pick them back up and won’t drop them anymore.
Monday we made progress on JWRD, both the current deal we’re working on and the generalize consulting service.
Tuesday’s conversation about my article series in progress was helpful not only for the article but also underscoring my opportunity to improve my language usage. I wasn’t planning anything for my birthday, but Jacob and friends had other ideas and surprised me. It was a good night.

Oh hey, glad to hear of it all really. Happy birthday then and may your 30s be less… black and blue than the 20s!

Thank you for the wishes :)
I caught myself from nearly dropping this report.
Today I started a bit late, but managed to make some progress on the draft of the Bitcoin history article.
I made progress working the JWRD sales funnel and lost some time to a broker giving me bad directions in settling an otc trade with his runner — that trade will instead be settled tomorrow morning.
I’m chipping away at Drucker’s Effective Executive and am currently on chapter 2, Know Thy Time, which supports the general goal I had this week of keeping closer track of my time.
At Junto I delivered the presentation I delivered at our conference, which was insightful for them and also showed me some more gaps in my knowledge I have the opportunity to repair through the article.
I got decent exercise, practiced spanish and french and made 4 separate journal entries during the day.
Looking back there are a good amount of positives from the day, which I know would have been overshadowed if I let myself drop the ball on this review.
One thing that came to mind today regarding my absences and silence of recent weeks was that it embodies the pattern of previous people who eventually disappeared. I thought, “Where would I be if I didn’t have the structure of the weekly plan/reviews ?” I’m thankful this structure has been and is here to help me look in the accountability mirror and avoid senseless blacks and blues[1]. There was a turning point in my journal writing process when I went from writing the journal to ease tension/anxiety during crisis situations to asking if it helps diminish the lows, what can it do to amplify the highs ? It’s up to me to make this a similar turning point.

[1] From my athletics days, it was one thing to earn a black and blue during a game from smart, hard play and something completely different to acquire a black and blue from horse play unrelated to the competition.

There are indeed, not least of which catching yourself and not dropping this review. (I’m trying to keep this reply from getting bigger than your update even so I won’t point out each and every one of the positives, since you seem to have noticed them yourself this time just fine.)
Do let me know when you finish that, as I was thinking of you & this Drucker the other day while reviewing quite a different book.
Exactly that! And the footnote is precisely on point, of course (because yes, your experience from athletics carries over perfectly fine and it’s a plus you have, not a minus – if only you use it for all it’s worth, of course).
